Activity Report
  From 2003 to December, 2006

Shah Faisal Welfare Trust soon after its registration got engaged in different activities of human help. Though the Trust worked in all the subjected areas of community development but its main focus has been on health related facilities for the destitute people of Kashmir in particular. We would like to share with you what we have done for the people of Kashmir through our campaigns so far. It is worthy to mention here that the Trust has made all efforts through its own resources, no aid or donation is received so far.

Awareness campaigns on human rights.
In Kashmir, Shah Faisal Welfare Trust holds quarterly awareness campaigns on health and sanitation, education, and skill development collaborating with various local CBOs, and community groups. Hundreds of poor people have been benefited from our limited awareness campaigns.
Trust helped many helpless people to get funds from the Bait-ul-mal because they deserved that but did not know how to proceed with it.
We shall continue our small and big projects to get implemented continuously and fulfill the duty of service to mankind that Trust took on very first day of its foundation.
Medical Camps
Provision of medical facilities to the poor is one of the basic objectives of the Trust and we hold camps in the areas of Patikka and Mansehra during last years. To hold camps was a routine effort made by the trust time to time to provide basic health checks and medicines to the fare living people of Kahsmir, however, sudden calamity of earth quake made it more important. The trust regularized its resources to serve the people on emergency basis and provided first aid facilities to the afflicted. Following are the figures benefited from our camps:

Gender Number Age(M/Y) Area
Male 1000 25-60+ Pattika/Mansehra
Female 1200 19-60+ ''
Youth 700 11-19 ''
Children 1100 1m-10 ''

Food Supply to the Quake effected:
In a very restraint budget, you can say even without any prominent external aid, SFW Trust spent its all cash resources just to help a highly devastated people who were on that day crying for even a tiny help. This way the Trust ran out its all budgets purely for humans in dire needs. We felt sad when we could not do much for the victims of the earthquake while a burning desire to do much more for them was there.
We supplied about 300 families with edible oil, Ghee, floor and cooking utensils/accessories and blankets. This emergency campaign required us much more to do for the people of the earthquake area and it was easier for us to do so because our team had local ties with the area perchance we might have been succeeded to avail financial resources from the donors at that point of time. However, we did try our best that still goes on.
Children Help

Trust helped many children to get education in schools by providing them with books, uniforms and other necessary materials.

Slay Centre in Saidpur, Muzaffarabad and Patika

Old Women have also been provided with funds from trust’s funds to meet their daily needs.
